Registered Veterinary Technician

Katie has been a member of the Four Paws team for several years, throughout various phases of her educational career. She completed an Honours Bachelor's degree in Zoology and Nutrition from the University of Guelph in 2019, then went on to graduate from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College, receiving the Governor General's Academic Medal. After beginning her career in small animal medicine, Katie went on to complete her qualification as a Certified Companion Animal Therapist - currently recognized as the premier program in canine rehabilitation training. Katie is excited to continue her veterinary career at Four Paws!

Rehabilitation holds a special place in Katie's heart, and she has had the opportunity to work with various species. She has a passion for geriatric patients and takes great pride in getting the chance to make a positive impact on their lives. Katie is interested in further exploring the role that nutrition plays in aiding mobility and injury prevention and has a growing interest in pain management and end-of-life care.

Katie currently has two very fluffy fur babies, Charlie and Zoe. When she is not at the beach with her dogs, you can find Katie biking, running, or baking goodies!
